Excel Slicers won't resize
This short post is in lieu of a longer post but if you create a slicer in Excel and attempt to resize it and it keeps snapping back to the tiny, unusable size, then read this Connect article There's a hidden bounding rectangle around the slicer window and that is what is causing it to shrink back.
